Constantine I, 307/310-337. Follis (Silvered bronze, 19 mm, 3.52 g, 6 h), Rome, 316-317. IMP CONSTANTINVS P F AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantine I to right. Rev. SOLI INV-I-CTO COMITI / R S Sol, nude but for chlamys, standing front, head to left, raising his right hand in salute and holding globe in his left; to left at his feet, captive seated left, head turned back, wearing Phrygian cap and raising his right hand. RIC 52. A very attractive piece with an incredibly detailed captive on the reverse. Very minor deposits on the obverse and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
